Crafting for Baby

It's time for me to become a mommy blogger.  Since I am expecting a little one I thought what better idea to blog about then making things for your baby.  For years now I have been using craft blogs and online resources, both free and paid  and thought that it is time to give back to the community and share my passion with those who also love making crafts, especially for their babies.
My way of planning for baby... making stuff for baby.  On this blog I am going to share my crafting experiences as well as helpful resources,  tips and advice.
If you have ideas for my blog, please contact me, I would love to hear from you!

Planning your crafts for baby
I must say I am usually not much of a planner, but I thought that is would be nice for my nursery crafts to be a little coordinated and match the theme of the room itself, especially if you are making crafts specifically for the nursery.
I technically do not have a nursery yet (hopefully by the time baby comes) but I have planned a theme for the baby's room.  I have choose a woodland theme.  I suggest using Pinterest to tag all your ideas so you can go back and remember them.  I started a registry on amazon.com (hopefully it works even though I am Canadian) with a woodland theme, I am using the Carter's Forest Friends as a reference.  I want to try and match most things to this theme, but it is not always necessary.

What to expect on this blog
There are a lot of things I want to make for my baby, which I will document here.  I have already made my baby's first stuffed animal (does not really go with theme, made it first) see below.
Anyway, I am planning a lot of projects including:
  • baby blankets,
  • wooden tole paint crafts to match the nursery
  • DIY baby book templates to keep your baby memories
  • baby photo props
  • baby clothes
  • baby mobiles with felt
  • baby toys
  • baby monograms vinyl decals, and more.
Here is my first project.  If you are interested you can purchase the pattern here.
